One of Steve's former roommates used to always say, "Farming is the good life!" (I ran into Jeff at the Twin Falls Temple Open House today, by the way.) Having never farmed, I do not know if that is true, but I do know that gardening is the good life! Look at these pictures of my beautiful garden! Last Sunday, we celebrated Jon's birthday with grilled steak, fresh steamed green beans (from the garden), grilled zucchini (from the garden), and cucumber sticks (also from the garden)! Delicious! Kirt and I had wonderful bacon, lettuce and tomato (from the garden) sandwiches on Monday, and tonight we had couscous with zucchini, tomato, and green beans, along with more cucumber. Soon I'll be pulling onions, and last night I started canning green beans. It is amazing to put some seeds into the ground, give them a little water and a little nurturing, and see what happens. Gardening definitely is the good life!

Hi Lorrie. I like your garden.
Your garden looks uber cool. I'm impressed. Looks like you'll have some grapes to share again soon (wink, wink).
