Here is a peaceful picture of Lorrie with Tyler and Kenzie's dog, Gigi from Christmas. Notice how this dog is not only a lap dog (which Lorrie has always wanted), but there is an eerie familiarity with they way they are sleeping the same. (Check out head position, ear position, and nose direction.)

McCall Winter Carnival 2010
McCall Winter Carnival in Idaho is a wonderful event. We were lucky to have our friends with us to check out the snow sculptures (see the owl?) . . .
And we celebrated Peggy's birthday as she started a new year of going backward in time calculations.
And the fireworks! They shot them off from the beach, and we were about 100 yards away, looking straight up in the air. We saw the rockets go off as they ignited the fireworks, and then they exploded right over us. We were showered with the fireworks debris, including what looked like baseball skins or exploded tennis balls. It was a long and spectacular fireworks show. . .
The only thing missing was Neal Diamond songs in the background. . . .
The parade was attended by millions (maybe thousands) and was a fun spectator sport as they tossed candy, t-shirts, Frisbees, mardi gras beeds, (and more) to the crowd. Christina was a magnet for all things airborne, so we're glad she came.
With the Governor's budget cuts, the BSU Marching Band replaced their trip to Disneyland with the Winter Carnival.
We really enjoyed sharing some time with friends, nature, and great food!! (not sure in that order)

Happy New Year! Great family photos
We were blessed to have all our children/grandchildren/dog here for Christmas. So, we managed to gather them all for a family picture. A friend took them, and she did a great job. You can see all the photos at Maren's website HERE (we're family #17)
